Dream, Believe, Achieve
Massage can be beneficial to athletes that are involved in competitive sports. It can enhance muscle strength and increase circulation to the extremities. It can train the muscles to stretch and contract so they can work at their maximum potential.
I have training in Sports injuries and prevention, myofascial release, stretching and passive momvents.
I have experience in Sports Massage working for Wisconsin Ironman and Half Ironman, Madison Full and Mini Marathon and I began working with Ironman competition as a massage therapy student in 2004.
I have been returning to help promote wellness within the event. I help athletes maintain their health before, during, and after the event. This is my 19th year working with athletes from all over the world and I am the Captain of the Massage Room.
Shoulder Injuries and care
Shoulders are one of the most injured body parts. Due to their unique structure, they are very easily injured, bruised or dislocated. I have included links below for more information on the following issues, as well as a diagram of the shoulder structure.
Easily swollen, shoulders are overworked daily. Recommended icing when swollen from overuse.
Consult physician for further care to keep swelling at minimal risk.
